🏆 Supervised Hands-On Practice & Real-Time Mistake Correction
⏳ Duration: Half-Day Training Session
📅 Available Days: Daily
💰 Course Fee: $550 AUD
🎯 Recommended For: Advanced ADC Part 2 Candidates

Course Overview

Our Half-Day Skills OSCE – Work Under Supervision (WUS) program is designed for advanced ADC Part 2 candidates who have already completed foundational clinical skills training and want additional hands-on practice before their examination.

This focused, half-day session allows candidates to practise selected Skills OSCE tasks in a supervised clinical training environment, with access to the required materials, instruments and equipment.

The program focuses on supervised practice, real-time mistake correction, improving clinical techniques and strengthening practical performance.

Unlike our comprehensive Skills OSCE courses, this session is primarily designed for independent practice under supervision rather than extensive demonstrations or structured teaching.

It is particularly suitable for experienced candidates who want to revisit specific tasks, correct recurring mistakes and refine their clinical skills before their ADC Part 2 examination.

Please note that this is not a comprehensive demonstration-based teaching course.

Candidates requiring extensive demonstrations, foundational explanations or structured instruction are encouraged to consider our longer Skills OSCE training programs.

6. Limited Infection Control Presentation

Included During Clinical Practice

Relevant infection control principles are addressed during supervised practice.

This may include:

  • Hand hygiene
  • PPE requirements
  • Clinical aseptic techniques
  • Instrument handling

  • Infection control considerations for individual tasks

Please note: The session includes limited infection control instruction rather than a comprehensive standalone infection control presentation.

🦷 Clinical Skills OSCE Tasks Available for Practice

Candidates may select the clinical skills they would like to focus on during their half-day session.

Depending on equipment availability and individual preparation needs, practical training may include:

  1. Periodontal Assessment and Scaling
  2. Rubber Dam Application
  3. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  4. Syncope Management and Incident Documentation
  5. Extraction Simulation
  6. Matrix Band Placement
  7. Pit and Fissure Sealant Application
  8. Local Anaesthesia Techniques
  9. Dental Radiography Simulation – Periapical, bitewing and trauma-related views

Candidates are encouraged to prioritise the tasks requiring the most improvement, as the half-day format does not provide sufficient time for comprehensive practice of every task.

⏳ Half-Day Practice Limitations

This session is designed for focused revision rather than comprehensive preparation.

Due to the limited training time, candidates may not be able to practise every Skills OSCE task or explore all task variations in detail.

Common Mistakes Session

Not Included

Our separate 4–5 Hour Common Mistakes Session is not included in the Half-Day WUS package.

However, candidates may receive real-time correction of mistakes identified during their supervised practical work.

Candidates who require more extensive explanations, demonstrations or a comprehensive review of common errors may benefit from attending a dedicated revision course.
