What is Dental Path Academy

Dental Path Academy is a leading training centre for ADC exam preparation in Australia. We support overseas-trained Dentists, Dental Hygienists (DH), Dental Therapists (DT), and Oral Health Therapists (OHT) with tailored programs for Part 1 and Part 2 exams. We also assist local dentists, clinics, and students in upskilling through hands-on training, clinical skills, communication OSCEs, infection control, and more—ensuring high-quality, confident practice aligned with Australian standards.

The 4-week comprehensive training program is ideal for beginners. It offers step-by-step demonstrations, daily hands-on practice, and focused support across all technical and OSCE skill areas—perfect for those new to the ADC Part 2 exam or returning after a long break.

The Skills OSCE Revision/Course is designed to address the most common exam failures, offer targeted tips, and improve your efficiency and confidence—even if you’ve trained elsewhere before.

While Work Under Supervision (WUS) is great for refining skills, it is best suited for candidates who have already completed our structured training.

Yes, absolutely. We’re happy to assist if your request is made at least 14 days in advance. We’ll always try our best to support you—even with shorter notice—depending on availability. • Cancellations made with less than 14 days’ notice or no-shows are not eligible for a refund.

Special Consideration:
If you’re facing serious personal, medical, or compassionate circumstances and need to cancel or reschedule within 14 days, please email support@dentalpathacademy.com.au before your course begins. Include any relevant supporting documents with your request.

No. While our courses are designed to enhance your knowledge, clinical skills, and exam readiness, success in the ADC exam depends on many factors beyond our control—including, but not limited to:

  • Your individual effort and ability to meet best-practice standards

  • Your performance relative to other candidates in your cohort

  • The ADC assessment team’s marking process

  • Your position on the marking scale

  • The current demand and workforce needs in Australia

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the ADC, and therefore cannot guarantee any specific outcome. However, our training is aligned with publicly available ADC reading lists, and follows ADA and DBA guidelines and standards to give you the strongest preparation possible.

We encourage candidates to complement our courses with a deep understanding of Australia’s dental workforce needs, the ADC’s assessment criteria, and professional publications from the ADA and DBA—to fully understand how clinical competence is assessed within the Australian context.

To practise as a dentist in Australia, overseas-qualified dentists must complete the following steps through the Australian Dental Council (ADC) pathway:

  1. Initial Assessment – Submit your qualifications and documents for eligibility review.

  2. ADC Written Exam (Part 1) – A computer-based exam assessing clinical and theoretical knowledge. (We can help you prepare for this exam)

  3. ADC Practical Exam (Part 2) – A practical assessment in Melbourne, covering technical, clinical, and communication skills. (We can help you prepare for this exam)

  4. AHPRA Registration – Apply for general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) after passing both exams.
